Enrich Physio is a specialist, private physiotherapy clinic based in the Southside of Edinburgh that has been treating people since 2010. Led by consultant physiotherapist Richard Walker MSc, we get fast, long-lasting results with a forward-thinking, patient centred approach.
At Enrich Physio, our ethos is based around listening to people’s story. We can then carry out a detailed physical assessment, propose an accurate diagnosis, and then formulate a specific rehabilitation programme. This may include manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation and advice so that you’re able to aid your own recovery.
Communication is always key so we ensure that we listen to your full past history to get a clear picture of what may have caused your issue. We then ensure you are satisfied with the plan going forward and are fully aware of the steps that need to be taken. It’s a team approach with you at the centre.
Manual therapy involves mobilisations, manipulations and massage. Our manual therapy techniques involve hands-on treatments which are evidence-based so that we know that what we are doing will deliver results. We do not use alternative electrotherapy devices, such as Ultrasound, TENS, Shockwave Therapy or Lasers, as these have no scientific efficacy. We also don’t use dry needling or acupuncture for the same reasons.
We don’t just rely on any potential placebo effects from sham treatments.
No smoke and mirrors – what we do works!
We promise to treat you and empower you to manage your own symptoms so that you need as few appointments as possible. You will never have to commit to further appointments after your first one. We aim to teach you the skills to fix yourself during your first appointment.
Our bread and butter is treating neck and low back pain. We have a very high success rate with these types of problems. You do not have to be an athlete or remotely sporty to benefit from physiotherapy. However we feel we have a particular passion for treating sports injuries, especially football, golf and running.
